ALS Provider of the Year Awards - The 2008 Provider of the Year Awards luncheon was held at RWJUH in the Atrium. The winners are listed below.

One staff member (MICP or MICN) is selected by their co-workers based on the criteria in the selection guidelines. The names of those selected are then sent to the Association by the MICU Directors for validation.

Selection Guidelines

Each candidate should meet the following general guidelines for selection to receive the award:

  • The candidate must be a New Jersey Certified MICP or authorized MICN in good standing with that program
  • The candidate should preferably be employed in a full time position, however, part timers and per diems are also eligible;
  • Each candidate should be selected for their ability to work effectively with many different partners;
  • Each candidate should be well rounded in their ALS continuing education;
  • Candidate should be selected for consistency in professional attitude and appearance (refer to Paramedic Code of Ethics);
  • Above all, the ideal candidate should be the person with whom everyone wants to work , who are always there for you, the one on whom you can always count, the "perfect partner".
